lennyzrx, while many of us yearn for 1000cc and less electronics, pretty much every expert in the paddock has said (since it was announed earlier this year) that this won't make the slightest difference. In fact if anything the elctronics will be even more prominant on the 1000cc's to avoid sliding (therefore increasing traction), reducing slides, wheelie control blah blah blah. Restrictions to traction control will only happen in 2013 when it proves even the 1000's suck with it too!
Can't help be cynical in MotoGP these days. Seems everytime a new rule is announced, the fans get more excited about the prospect of closer racing but it turns out to be a bit crap.
