Let's not forgot that Aoyama and Simoncelli have hardly set the world on fire either. 250 world class riders, languishing in a similar position to Marco (on track, at least). People moan about Capi and Edwards, saying we need young talent, but look where the 'fresh, young, exciting' rookies are... the blunt end. We know how fast Simoncelli is- look at his WSBK Wild Card last year, and we know he isn't short of bottle. Modern 800's may be easier to ride than 500 2 strokes but it doesn't mean that suddenly everyone gets the ability to ride like the World champ. Someone will always win, and by default, someone will always come last.
