C'mon on now Dray.
You trying to tell us that Casey couldn't get any changes made because "perhaps he never came across with calm and proper de-briefs"? After 4 seasons? That doesn't hold water because EVER teammate and every satellite rider was saying the same thing. Or the fact that Casey had "limited knowledge"? Well Nicky doesn't. Nor did Loris.
Truth of the matter is that if Val was in the top 3 at the Valencia test there would be no major changes. But since he was slower than Nicky and damn near last Ducati couldn't bury it's head in the sand about the problems Nicky and Casey were complaining about because Val was having them. And if you don't think times were important than think again. It's a reason Ducati is back at the factory re-design a bike they said they wouldn't because Val couldn't set a good time. It's a reason Preziosi publicly stated it was a bad test.
