Off season op being the reason for taking it easy doesn't sit too well with me.Nicky and Randy also had off season ops approaching.Hand and leg respectively. Fair enough,Nicky knows the bike,but Randy was in exactly the same boat as Rossi...except that he ended the test right up there with Nicky proclaiming he loved the bike. Where does that leave the 'taking it easy on account of' argument. Unless Randy is a fool. Capirossi was also nurturing injury and anyone thinking that Rossi with his ego wanted to end up with rookie Karel up his tailpipe is in denial.
