Stoner taking risks with set-up and suddenly noticing he was further away from the screen, doesn't sound very technically astute or analytical to me. The schaphoid op was 2 years ago and they only addressed it at Aragon this year?
If you stopped to think for a second, you'd see I'm actually paying Casey a backhanded compliment. He's won races on the CF framed bike despite the apparent problems. Nobody is suggesting Casey is slow and those wins are a testament to his riding skills but IMO not his technical skills.
If you want to hold up Melandri, Capirex and to a lesser degree Hayden as proof that Stoner must be a great development rider, that's fine but is way off the mark as these guys are not considered the best. Mika Kallio..please? Stoner talked about finding 2 or 3 tenths to challenge Jorge and Dani pre Aragon. Finally admitting he may have gone in the wrong direction and adopting Haydens settings gave him that time which is why he came on strong at the end of the year..again!
