What a completely bizarre point of view. I can't believe a professional in the business actually thinks that Lorenzo didn't ride more cautiously to protect his championship hopes. As soon as it was secured, Lorenzo was flying again. As for the Rossi/Burgess skills, that is unquestionable. It isn't them that says it, it is the engineers and team members that are saying their ability to illustrate a problem and then make tangible changes that fix it is at the highest level. When Rossi went to Yamaha it was crap, sure he won because he was better, but he also very quickly improved the bike into a world beater. THe one slight on the Yamaha was power, and that isn't something that Rossi/Burgess can correct in the same way as setup etc...
