Everyone was comparing Cal with Ben, but he is not a rider of Ben's caliber. In schools some kids(Cal) have to work extremely hard just to get an A, and some just have it naturally(Ben). I'm not saying Cal won't be successful anything is possible, but I say his chances are not too great. There are too many other gifted riders who are not up front that he has beat and he is going to struggle for a long time until he finds a eureka moment or utter failure like what happened to JT. Think about it, he has to beat the likes of RDpuniet, Bautista, Ayoma, Dovi, Simo, Hayden, Rossi and this is before the group at the front..Doesn't look good for him at the moment..Just my opinion..
