I am struck by the difference in attitude on this site to the similar situation Redding and Elias in MotoGP are encountering. With Redding its all sympathy and looking for reasons beyond his ability as to why he has taken a major step backwards. With Elias all the blame has been put on him and he has gone from hero to zero in 2 races in the eyes of most posters here, going so far as to call for him to be sacked.
Obviously they are both excellent riders and there are reasons for their underperformance which are not yet entirely clear.
