It is just pointless to compare these sports of different era. In the past, riders like King Kenny and Johnny Cecotto would race Grand Prix in a weekend and in the next weekend, they would race on a dirtbike (watch On Any Sunday). And in Cecotto's case, he'd drive an F1 car the next weekend.
Some amateur riders/racers even have a same bike for the road and off road races. with just some minor adjustments and parts.
But the sports have been so specialized today, that a rookie from Moto2 needs a whole season just to adjust themselves to the MotoGP, let alone an F1 driver.
