I promise to never insult Stoner again by saying he is fast and was brought into the Honda program to win a championship. The fact that he was unstoppable on a great bike package and not so much every other year when more development was clearly needed and his method of testing involves very short runs with very few laps can't help engineers do much development is so negative. He has proven to push and get the most out of a bike, if the bike is great he is very hard to beat, if the bike isn't there are some good odds it will be in gravel.
I have a far worse opinion of Rossi. He's going backwards, out of excuses, no special treatment to hamper faster riders and him and his dream team are blowing it. All for a ridiculous salary and at the expense of an entire international racing program. Ducati put all of their eggs in one basket and they are starting to rot and smell. I think it was a business decision to be a bigger lifestyle brand like HD and maybe sell an overpriced CF frame
