Lets not bash Bautista about this. Even with Hopkins' or Vermuelen's talents, the bike has always been sub-par: they're just THAT good of riders. I mean Hopkins even gave Kawasaki hope whenever he managed to not be injured.
Every year, the GSV-R supposedly gets better. Yet whatever improvement is specified seems the least bit substantial. I mean Honda showed up with a magic gearbox this year, Ducati's moved in their upcoming chassis, and Yamaha has...won some races. Realistically, Suzuki hasn't performed since Kenny Roberts Jr's championship season.
