You know, I took what raw dog said, and I believe he is right. I don't think it is rossi as much as it is the design of the ducati. not being able to sit on the frame and instead sit on the engine means a lot of the feel that you have is going to be amplified / damped by the engine and it's own personal vibrations. and that crankshaft sits farther back a good solid 5inches compared to the yamaha it looks like. I went ahead and rotated the ducati's L4 so that the front cylinders and the crankshaft were farther forward significantly. the airbox will still be the monocoque. but now the frame connects to the swingarm instead, and the engine is longer stressed member. let me know what you think. image at
