I have to correct that it is not just simple mistake, because tire pressures are complicated. There are range of optimum temperatures where you should keep them during racing. But they affect very much to bike handling too.
Because of different driving styles, some tires is better for some riders. If I have understand correctly main sufferer on current tires are Toni Elias. He has problems to get tires up to temp.
So conclusion is that Bridgestone has much power to affect race results.
