there is a degree of risk involved and everyone 'expected' to attend should be concerned..yes, all manner of contracts are involved but do you really think lorenzo or stoner would willingly give up 25pts on a whim..think about that, it could be the difference of a world title..they shouldn't be castigated based upon the evidence of attending being a 'negligible risk'..the weather conditions alone dictate the risk factor..radiation poisoning is one of the most horrid conditions one could imagine, the fact there is any risk whatsoever should give the fim concern..there should be no 'heartstring policy' feeling somewhat indebted to japan for their dedication to world bike production and the 'sport' itself...i'm surprised the event was even considered this year, there are too many individual emotions / convictions involved and the wisest choice would be to postpone and consider two events for japan next year..conditions allowing naturally..japan should be lauded for their dedication to mak
