"next season the tech 3 bikes r gonna start with the same spec as the factory teams or very near it" As they did this year, but the question is how much, if any, support will the team get though the year? This year Colin and Cal were given the satellite iteration of the 2011 factory bike (i.e. without the advanced electronics package), making them pretty competitive to begin with. However, unlike the factory M1s, the Tech 3 bikes have had no further development throughout the year, leaving them way behind. Tech 3 look likely to again be equipped with satellite versions of the 1000cc M1, which I'm sure will be strong to begin with. But if Dovi is to challenge Spies for that factory slot, the team will need better support through the season than they've had this year.
