This was always Stoners race to lose... And he almost did. Amazing race for Spies regardless. To come back after all the wrecks and injuries and nearly win the whole damn thing was inspirational. And say what you want, but his Yamaha was getting owned on that straight all race long, all you have to do is watch the race to see that. Can't feel too bad getting beaten by Stoner after the weekend/season he has been having. 5 non finishes this season really make you wonder where a healthy Ben Spies would have finished this season. I can't wait (!) to get these two on Liter bikes next season! And we will all always wonder how well Marco would have gone on them!
