Out of 125GP and straight into MotoGP ? This is a courageous move by Aprilia, given the huge expense of transporting a CRT team around the world, in addition to their WSB team. On the other hand, their 125 team already travels with the MotoGP circus so maybe the increase in spending will not be a major drain. With cutomers queuing to buy their RSV4 engine, that income, plus decent sponsorship, might even make their CRT effort a source of net income. However, with Italy being on the verge of financial melt-down, and the possibility of other teams using their engine failing to survive the year, Piaggio will be monitoring the cash situation very carefully.
