Before you slate the Aprilia CRT bike as being destined for tailgunner positions on the grid consider this. The Aprilia RSV4 started life as a full prototype MotoGP bike and spent most of its existance that way. It only changed to become a road bike when MotoGP switched to 800s and Aprilia changed it to a road going production bike to recoup the expense of its development. In other words the Aprilia is a full on "prototype" factory MotoGP bike its just taken a roundabout way to get there. When fully race ready I would bet this bike will surprise many and soon be towards the sharp end of the grid.
