The more I think about this CRT thing, the more I think it will work, as long as there are no behind the curtain disguised full factory prototype machines. Honda could enter a honda prototype chassis with a MGP (CRT) factory tuned PRODUCTION honda engine (based on the CRT regulations). It would be a honda factory team not much different from in SBK. The disparity between privateer and factory would not be so great as to prevent honest competition. Honda (e.g.) could provide the chassis to teams (as they do now with satellite teams) that would in turn, then tune their own production honda engines or whatever they choose. I am sure it is not a perfect formula but it could work. Hell if everything was perfect to start with we would not be debating this right now. Obviously what we had before was not is to the future.
