Michelin had a contract with Yamaha to provide the factory team with tires They were promised their factory teams by Dorna. Rossi wanted Casey's bridgestone tires, guess what happened, domino effect then pedrosa who had Nakano test them on his gresini bike with factory kit so they could have data for him then switched mid season then next thing you know bridgestone is the spec tire supplier.
