I'm a fan of CRT which puts me in the minority in this site, but anyway...
The other day someone disagreed when I said CRT will be faster than SBK. Of course they will!
Carbon brakes, free choice of engine (including protoype, doesn't have to be production), bespoke chassis, better aerodynamics (doesn't have to conform to homologated roadbike shape) etc etc...
These will fly by the end of the season.
CRT will struggle at the slow tracks, where the bikes are on the side of the tyre and outright grip is required. They'll also suffer on corner exit due to less advanced electronics.
BUT, on fast tracks like Qatar they've got 3l more fuel at their disposal, allowing the engines to be comparatively 'turned up'.
So my prediction is a CRT bike will be in the top 6 through the speed trap come April 8th.
260bhp is a possibility!
