Sick Cylinder hits my point, and to add some - it will change the emphasis from raw horsepower and top speed, to acceleration and stability into corner.
while i also agree with you regarding the best will brake later than the rest, it still much depends on the braking power of the brake itself. when you extend the braking distance, you also extends the overtaking space and distance. all at the expense of reduced acceleration distance.
it takes balls to brake long and deep to the corner, and it also takes balls to rev the throttle early to gain advantage to the next corner. more to be expected when you want to overtake in either situation.
