Stoner is just better than anyone else, period. Pedrosa is close but will fold under pressure as usual.
The tyres being given the chance to coll off then reheat, repeatedly, is much harder on the carcass than going out and doing a race simulation. If you look at the data on the laptimes at motogp.com you will see that Stoner is consistently in the mid to low 2min whereas everyone else can get there but only for one off laps.
As for the Ducati and Rossi. They might get 1 or 2 podiums due to others falling, etc but I'd expect to see Rossi on a customer spec Honda or Yamaha within the next 2 years. That or in some form of rally car.
