MotoGP needs to be full prototype so the manufacturers can develop and innovate.
I don't think anyone wants CRT to essentially be a SBK class in MotoGP. It needs to be a 'step up' for teams. Suzuki should have a 'factory' CRT bike in there, Kawasaki have an engine in the Avintia bike. These should be stages for their development to get them back into having full MotoGP prototypes on the grid. I believe BMW are probably using the Forward CRT bike to test the water and use it as a base to develop a prototype.
The platform of top class racing should be a stage that all manufacturers can - and want to - get to, not just for those with the money. Dorna need to make this happen, without pandering to the factories.
I'd much rather see a MotoGP class with Aprilia, BMW, Norton, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, MV, MZ, Triumph, Benelli, Bimota and Mahindra, but with no Honda, Yamaha or Ducati.
