I think all the manufaturers have a problem with affordable, particular euro. Thats why they take their prototypes to WSB because they cannot afford to battle against the might of Honda. This in turn has driven out the teams that WSB was designed for the importers, so you get factories in WSB spending big bucks and the same is happening there because they are not tackling spiralling costs. The reason their is no Yamaha is simple the cost to get it competitive with the Aprilia and Ducati is too much for an importer without factory backing. Not what Mr Maclaughlin wanted at all.
I like the beauty of fantastic machine like the Honda ridden by demigods but its not sustainable, so lets go back to the roots, their will still be big gaps like their used to be but maybe more natural racing, WSB should do the same.
