Absolutely brillant Cal!
Now, he needs to put it together in the race. I said last year that Cal proven he belong in GPs based off his speed in QP. Now he has to work out his race pace and learn to adjust to the changing conditions of the tires and the bike as it gets lighter burning off fuel. He was pushing too hard when he shouldn't have a couple of times last year and he missed some opportunites to score good finishes. Jerez comes to mind. Cal's best chances of scoring brilliant finishes will be at the first part of the season before the factory bikes move on in development.
