And I'm glad you mention marketing. Do you think Repsol would be glad to see a satellite team getting more media attention than them? How do you think they would feel if a satellite Honda rider was challenging their bikes? Repsol would sh1t bricks if Honda let Rossi have a bike.
It's not happening. Even the MotoGP journolist I follow say it wouldn't happen. Too much bad blood. Let's not forgot Rossi left Honda like a spoilt child because they wouldn't give him their RC211V and had the nerve to take some credit for winning the title. And left Yamaha because they wouldn't fire their promising young employee. Try that with your boss and see where it gets you.
