Yes, I'm not sure you can rely too much on Cal's time as being an indicator of his superior adaptation to the 1000 (tho he obviously likes it). He was a rookie this time last year and riding injured at a new track. So his time this year was bound to be faster whatever he was riding. The fact that his time is such an anomaly compared to the others kind of proves the rule: the new 1000s are so far slower.
