I have to say I was overall rather impressed with all of the CRT teams, and in fact the whole concept. Ellison was dead last, but he still finished on the same lap as the aliens, on a new undeveloped bike. Well done to him and the team for a professional approach to a daunting challenge. Contrast that with the privateers in the old days when the likes of Nigi Schmassmann and Cees Doorakkers were sometimes lapped twice, and half the rest of the field was sometimes lapped as well. It seems realistic to me for some of the CRT guys to be mixing it with lower factory boys some weekends later this year and that has got to be good for the sport, giving us another stepping stone to the top level.
