Agreed. Neither rider even wants to leave their current team. Stoner has stated many times his pleasure at riding in the team his hero Doohan did, and that it was always a dream of his. I also recall a recent comment from Lorenzo stating he wants to end his career at Yamaha. Not to mention the points I made earlier.
And for the fans sake, having Lorenzo and Stoner at different, rival teams adds much more to the show. Provided those teams are competitive with each other.
Which brings us to Ducati. I personally can't stand Rossi, but my overriding reason for watching motorsport (and I watch A LOT of different forms of motorsport) is for the racing, not the pilots. I of course have my favs, but for the sake of racing I REALLY REALLY want Ducati to climb out of this slump and be competitive. I'm sure Casey, Dani, Jorge etc want to be racing them, not forgetting them.
