@Rawdog. As i said previously, forums are forums. Like bringback2strokes has identified Paul Bird makes hard hitting decisions in an often politically correct paddock full of smiling and b/shit. In the past Ducati Italy have trusted his team to run full factory spec machinery, as have Honda UK, and then Kawasaki Motors, and yes....that turned out not so good but they won the contract to run it. The guy is living his dreams and lets not forget, creating some for others...Just ask the guy who won the opening two British Superstock Races this season who may have been ride less. With respect to you Raw Dawg you live on the other side of the water and have no dealings with people directly within the British paddocks. It's a bit like me assuming i know what Rob Muzzy or more recently a Yoshi boss was doing or what should or should not be done.
