The truth is that after only the very first race following Casey's retirement, he will not be missed ro even thought of anymore. He will become mainly a historical conversation piece. The sands will shift and settle around the new aliens duking for wins. Thats just simply how it goes down. The same thing would happen if it was Rossi leaving. Yes, there would be mourning, wailing and sorrow for a while, but then the show would coalesce around the new dogs on the block and move forward. I first thought Motogp was finished with Wayne Rayne's accident. Later, that it would not survice the departure of Doohan. Well see what happened! So Casey, enjoy it while it lasts. For, when you leave, the curtain will truly come down on your chapter, yet a new script will for sure be written with other hounds dominating the stage!
