Strangely only 7 seconds off the winner at this track last year, shows the handling problem is really is not so much about the ducati's ability to perform but more to do with the ducati's ability to inspire confidence in the rider, hence at a track he really likes and knows well he still does OK on the ducati. with the improvement they have made since last year and Rossi's extra time in the seat plus the boost from the last race result I think we may see Vale back to form this weekend! Watched a race from 1992 recently and I was reminded of how relatively hard to ride and unpredictable the premier class bikes used to be, no wonder there was more lead changing back then, it just wasnt as easy to get into a rhythm back then, riders made more "mistakes" so more action.
