@rc46er...you'r right. I had high hopes for him and obviously Yamaha did as well. But he has performed very poorly this season and it's puzzling and disappointing. He says on his web site that he is building confidence. Pardon me but when a rider is elevated to a factory ride, confidence would seem to be assumed. Was he never really tested in tricky dangerous conditions? To some extent maybe. When he was on pole at Indy with Tech 3 that was a stellar performance but the track however slippery was dry. I fear if Silverstone lives up to he rep he will suffer another setback. It's because he raised such high expectations for fellow Americans that his performance on the 1000cc bikes is such a let down.
