@Tommy I guess it shows that there really is a massive step up from WSBK to MotoGP as few from WSBK have really excelled in MotoGP whereas those who leave MotoGP usually nail WSBK (Biaggi, Bayliss, JT even, Checa, Corser etc etc), and Simo showed what a decent MGP rider can do on the first attempt.
As for Ducati, yes I believe they are pushing shot up hill and the possible resourcing from VW is unlikely. Rossi on a Yam or Honda next year particularly Honda given that now that the performance advantage of last year has been nullified by Yam even the supposed diety Casey has been shown to be only as capable as the bike he is given JUST like everyone else.
