Spain is more than 18 times smaller and has 7.7 times less population than that of the US. Given the size of the US, it is common sense that multiple races are needed. But for arguments sake, DORNA's current schedule would translate to the mythical US DORNA holding six races within the state of Texas, as it is 1.5 times the size of Spain, in a single season. Do you really think that would be embraced by the fans globally? I am sure that there would be a number of Texas sponsors that would gladly sponsor teams but the international sponsors would see little value for their money. Do you think any manufacturers would find it worthwhile to compete in this model? The fact that DORNA are not putting forth any value for the sponsors or manufacturers is why this sport is stagnating. They are only concerned with their country and have no global vision, it is obvious and glaring for all to see. Not quite as funny from that perspective, now is it?
