"every rider leading (or tied for the lead) after six rounds has gone on to be crowned champion at the end of the year"
Oh really? So the years there's been a tie after six rounds we've had 2(or 3) champions at the end of the year?
Anyhow, the Yamaha has been the most complete bike for a long time, the disadvantage it has had has been lack of power. Now with the 1000cc its almost in a class of its own. Without the new tires Casey might've had a shot at the title being as brilliant of a rider as he is. It will likely take a few races before they manage to get the Honda working properly with them, and by then Lorenzo will have run away in the championship. So yeah, Lorenzo it is.
