4th and within 0.4 sec of the pole. At first glance this looks like a terrific result. But it isn't. Barbera outqualified Nicky on a non-works bike, Stoner never got a clear lap, and Crutchlow & Spies both lost time with crashes. This isn't going to be enough for Ducati to rethink their intentions for Crutchlow if Rossi stays or thwart Audi's jingoistic predisposition to sign Bradl if Rossi leaves.
