His race pace is quite far off from Lorenzo/Pedrosa but if he can battle for the podium i'll be very happy!
If Nicky can get a good result here i wonder where that will leave the contract talks as it seems Ducati has slowed down on its pursuit of Cal as it was supposed to be a done deal this weekend and its not looking like that is going to be the case.
Rumors from the press is that Valentino himself prefers to partner with Hayden if he is to continue with DucAudi, but he has claimed to deny this. This isnt the first time Rossi has done such a thing, as he did this with Colin Edwards back when they both ran the works Yamaha.
