I think that even in the 800cc era, Yamaha had a quite good and strong engine, but they also had some trouble getting the power to the ground. This year, they have improved a lot in that area. The M1 is the most complete package out there, meaning it works better than the rest in the majority of tracks. The RCV looks a bit shaky on corner entry , especially during the brake-throttle transition.
