How many Seasons was Checa in WSBK before he won the Title, and perhaps over the Years he changed his riding style to suit the superbike..plus he was on the best bike on the grid that season.
Biaggi also had raced 3 seasons before winning the title on a bike that was built around him and is as close to a motogp bike as one could be.
Two distinctively different riding styles and i would be very surprised to see a rider who could dominate in both WSBK & MotoGP,Ben Spies is a perfect example but Biaggi,Checa,Melandri & Aoyama show its a double edged sword.
