Your comment about honda spending millions on the new equiptment is not correct, I would say compared to Ducati hondas would be quit small,as I have said on this site before I have spent many years on Manfg and the cost is not in Manfg the cost is in the tooling and I would say 90% of the tooling they are using would be the same for the current bike and the new bits for the engine would not be that costly it sounds like a lot of money to you and me but to a Co like honda it is peanuts,but to a Co like Ducati where they have to make new tooling and then the part and then test it the cost would be enormous, and I think that is the problem with Ducati,but like I said because honda is using current tooling the cost would not be that much.
