Shamu the Ducati was on the decline even under Stoner (10,6,4,3 and 5 DNFs in his last season) and consistently indicated that Ducati would not listen. It has been consistently indicated by Rossi that they are not listening to him or Hayden. Can you see the pattern appearing. The results are but a continuation of the situation where Ducati stand still and essentially go backwards as Yam and Honda move forward. Look at what Honda did to sort out their bike hmmm doesn't look very similar to Ducati's last effort (a single ECU that crapped itself and they didn't even have a replacement so testing over!). If he gets a Yamaha Factory ride and he is not competitive over the next season then I will agree that he is past it.
