Stoner never had the privileges Rossi had at Ducati, yet he performed very consistently other than the odd crash - which we now know was because of pushing a pig of a bike beyond it's limits every god damn nano second. He brought home wins year in year out, and with the kind of development support that was provided to Rossi, he probably would've won 1 more title during his time with Ducati.
And when you include unfair bashing from Rossi back when he was at Yamaha and Stoner was on the Duc, Stoner has every right to say what he has said.
Magnanimous ? No. Arrogant ? Only his haters would say that.
