To simply understand stoner's drama: whether or not he is a podium finisher, he would have acted the same way as he displayed but with different interpretations from the viewers: 1. If he is a podium finisher- the viewers would say that stoner is the all time great rider despite of his injury, and 2. If he is a non-podium podium finisher but got good points- viewers would say had it not of his injury he would have bested jlo or pedrosa. A sandbagging attitude. Rossi had been riding before with pain but a podium finisher, not overtaken by a satellite bike. Statistical records of all time great rider are the ultimate proof and not simply the assessment and opinion of viewers. Genuine and authentic Record can never be outweight by a mere opinion and assesstment or it has less probative value in the court of law.
