If people are going to dispute podiums because Casey isn't there, we might as well formally invalidate every podium for 2013 right now, since he won't be there then either.
In any case, the more impressive thing for me was not that Cal got to stand on the box at the end, but that he rode extremely quickly and consistently throughout, and managed to comfortably control the gap to Dovi even at that pace. I don't think we've seen that kind of discipline and assurance from him before, and it represents a genuine step forward in his riding.
