Bridgestone isn't alone in the tire mess because Dorna allowed them to introduce a new control tire during the season. Prototype manufacturers design the next year's bikes with the specs and experience of the control tires designated for the coming season. They take months to do this engineering work and when different tires are introduced they are back at square one. I'm surprised that Honda and Ducati and even Yamaha, on principle, allowed Dorna to sanction this. In my opinion this manipulated and compromised the whole MotoGP race series in 2012.
