I am from Indy so I for one hope they keep the race here. I've been all 4 years and its so much fun being able to walk around and see so much without the throngs that are here for Indycar and Nascar. They did repave the infield portion of the race, but I agree it might need more attention for consistency. I don't think it was overly dangerous, as other posters have stated, there were no more spills than any other weekend. BTW, one of the reasons venues get races are the attendance and the ultimate $$ that attendance generates. Indy was 69K this year, which I believe was greater than a great deal of other races, including Laguna. (granted, on TV it looks empty b/c Indycar and Nascar generally bring 300-500K fans) IMO, they ought to race Indy clockwise rather than CC--many of the riders have indicated this desire.
