"Maybe he could have a shot at the Gresini slot ?" Except that it's now beginning to look very much like the Gresini ride will be finalised and announced before Rea even gets to run a race (the ride almost certainly going to Scott Redding). And with Spies due to sign for Pramac Ducati next week, that's probably going to leave no prototypes available by the time JR has completed his 2 race stint. So it's hard to see where any of this might lead except back to WSBK again. There again, maybe that's exactly what Honda Europe intended and wanted all along. After all, without Rea on their Fireblade, Honda in WSBK are sunk.
