And the larger pie @Realist is the lion's share of the era. Doohan,the pinnacle of 2 stroke. Rossi,the pinnacle of 990,Stoner the pinnacle of 800. The larger slice of the pie can be debated ad nauseum from humble roots to lofty branches and everywhere in between. For me its easy. If Stoner retires intact at the end of this season I will be a happy fan of the fastest I've had the privelege of witnessing since Freddie Spencer. And believe me,I hoped King Kenny would have whipped him in 1983. Spencer was just too good and too bloody quick. I hope young Marc is of the same ilk,Stoner reckoned he would be a worthy replacement.
